Health Update/Cool Stuff

Hello pals!

I was recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis (FUN!) luckily its not surgery-bad yet so I'm at home yapping it up and laying on my sofa feeling sorry for myself.

That has of course slightly delayed some cool pieces I had coming up here, so I thought I'd tease some of the bits and bobs I have coming your way.

Tin Foil Hat will feature a few recurring columns you'll see pop into your inbox covering all my fave stuff. You've already gotten your first editions of Book Shelf and Scenes From the Cinema which will (relatively) cover all my book thoughts, and literal thoughts, scenes, and reports from movie places I visit.

Next up will be Cinephile Streaming — maybe my fave title I came up with for these — where I'll talk about movies that you can stream and my very studious and series thoughts on the streaming world. Aside from all the movies on my TV that I enjoy all day everyday, I am pretty well versed in this world as I've covered streaming for the past ten years for spots like IGN, THR, Polygon, and more. I even used to review streaming platforms and that was legit the most time consuming jobs I've ever had. Will any of that come into play? Probably not, the first column will be about the only three streaming services you need and will hit sometimes soon, what are they? Hint, two of them are freeee. Mwhaha.

Square Eyes is gonna be my home for all things television shows. It's been 37 years and my eyes are still round despite the fact I probably watch more tv and movies than most families put together. So this is my little nod to that. My first column is going to center on one of the best shows of the year that you probably haven't watched yet. Hint: it's the perfect antidote for AI Slop and its animated!

I'm really excited for all of you to read these pieces and soon I'll have some fun guest essays from my fave authors, and an excerpt from the most powerful anthology I've read in years.
